HOMEMADE NUT MILK (IN A FRENCH PRESS!)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- a french press
- 1 cup of nuts (raw almonds or raw cashews)
- water
- blender
HOW YOU'LL MAKE IT:
1. start by soaking your nuts in water overnight. I did this in a mason jar!
2. The next morning, strain the dirty water from your nuts.
3. Add 2 cups of fresh water to your blender & dump in your soggy nuts. Here is where you can customize this: a sprinkle of cinnamon, little bit of honey, etc.
4. Blend on high until your water turns milky colored. You should still see little bits of nuts.
5. Pour your nut milk into the bottom of a french press (I had to do this in two batches!). Push down on the french press filter to push all the nut pieces to the bottom of the french press.
6. Transfer your filtered milk to a new jar/jug and enjoy! I keep mine in the fridge for up to a week and use with cereal, oatmeal, or for dipping cookies - a good cookie recipe for dipping, HERE.
