MAPLE, SAGE, & SWEET POTATO TURKEY BREAKFAST PATTIES

Picture

ITEMS NEEDED:
1 lb raw ground turkey
1/2 steamed sweet potato
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp dried sage
1 egg

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. If your sweet potato is already cooked, go to #2! If not, here's how: rinse your sweet potato in water and wrap it with a damp paper towel. Stick your wrapped sweet potato in the microwave for 6-7 minutes until fully cooked. Carefully peel off the skin and mash half of your potato. Save the other half for later!
2. Mix your mashed sweet potato, raw turkey, maple syrup, salt, pepper, sage & egg in a bowl until fully incorporated.
3. Shape into ~12 patties (about 2 inches in diameter) on a lined baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes at 350F, flipping halfway. **You can totally also cook these on the stovetop. If you do, cook about 4 patties at a time on a pan with some oil for about 4 minutes per side, until turkey is fully cooked!
4. Enjoy!
