EASY ONE POT ITALIAN PASTA

Items Needed: 9 oz whole wheat pasta, 2 3/4 cup water, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 cup fresh chopped basil, 2 cups cherry tomatoes. & meat of choice (if desired!)

1. Put 9 oz pasta, water, oregano, salt, garlic powder, pepper, basil, & cherry tomatoes in a pot and cook for 10-12 minutes or until pasta water evaporates. 
2. Once the pasta is cooked, use the back of your pasta spoon to smush/smash (?) the tomatoes so that the juice comes out. 
3. Then, add an additional 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp red pepper flakes, and meat of choice (I used pre-cooked italian sausage, so good!!). I topped mine with some fresh grated parmesan and we both got seconds. It is that good.
